Peggie’s forte is in facilitating, developing and implementing organizational and human resources management and strategy.

Her wide experience includes specific expertise in project management, organizational effectiveness, compensation strategy, performance enhancement and management, as well as strategic planning. She has worked with clients across most sectors including: private, research, service, agriculture, academic, health-care, financial services, hospitality, construction, retail, insurance, food processing, manufacturing, government, education, television, transportation and non-profit.

Peggie is committed to her profession and to promoting the professionalism of human resource practitioners and management consultants. In demand as a speaker and writer, she also donates professional expertise to a number of organizations, and teaches as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan:

Ms. Koenig holds two degrees from the University of Saskatchewan: a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction in Human Resources and General Management, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Management Consultant (CMC). She is certified by the world-renowned Centre for Creative Leadership (http://www.ccl.org/) to facilitate 360-degree Leadership Assessment processes and recently achieved a Change Management Certification through PROSCI in 2009. Prior to founding Koenig & Associates in 1994, Peggie was a Senior Consultant and Associate Consultant with Deloitte. Peggie lives in a part of Saskatoon she calls the Urban Forest. When she’s not bird-watching on her deck, she trains for marathons by running up the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. We think that’s for the birds.

Dan Brown
Vice President, Executive Search

Dan Brown brings over 10 years of experience in the executive search industry on both a national and international level.  After graduating with a BA from the University of Regina, Dan broadened his horizons by moving and starting his career in Ireland and the UK.  In 2002 Dan joined a leading UK based search firm where he was successful in building a search practice focusing on recruiting senior executives across Western Europe in a variety of industries.  After 6 years of living abroad, Dan moved back to Canada and settled in Vancouver, BC. 

While in Vancouver, Dan worked for two national executive search firms where he was involved in projects in the mining, transportation, industrial, education and government sectors across Western Canada.  Dan prides himself in building relationships with clients and candidates and taking the time to understand a client’s needs when they are looking for expertise in attracting talent.  While working on a search, Dan strives to bring his clients excellent candidates who will be able to fit into their organization and succeed in the challenging positions they are recruiting for.  The search process is extensive with research, sourcing, targeted advertising and networking.  This ensures that every rock is overturned and only the best talent is brought forward while representing the client’s company in a professional manner.  Dan will also strive to understand not just the needs of your company today, but will also consider succession planning and assist clients with planning for the future.

Dan is excited to be back in Saskatchewan and leading the executive search practice for Koenig/Waterhouse, part of Waterhouse Executive Search Partners.  Dan’s dynamic approach to executive search will ensure that clients and candidates alike are kept updated with transparent communication and clear direction on each project.  The ultimate goal is to bring a strategic plan to each assignment and to make sure that the top talent is targeted  on every search.  Attention to detail, tenaciousness and understanding corporate cultures will ensure that both clients and candidates walk away from the process satisfied with the results.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with family and friends playing golf, hockey, fishing & camping and enjoying the outdoors in Saskatchewan.

Executive Coach & Senior Consultant

An interesting career characterized by various and diverse experiences provides Patricia with depth and expertise in career transition consulting, executive coaching, executive search, adult education, corporate training, and group facilitation solutions.

As a Senior Consultant with Koenig & Associates, Patricia provides a broad variety of human resources consulting services including her specialties in career transition, executive coaching, and career development consulting throughout Saskatchewan.  She has extensive experience delivering services to a broad range of corporate clients, from mining and manufacturing to government and small business. She especially enjoys providing career transition and development services to individuals, including senior management, professionals, tradespersons and administrative support staff.  Her dynamic approach to instructing workshops and seminars has earned her a reputation as a motivating facilitator adept at translating theory into practice.

Patricia has played a variety of roles throughout her career including: manager or senior associate with three other human resources consulting firms, post-secondary instructor, self-employed contractor, and a senior career counsellor with the Alberta government, not to mention her stint as the first woman to work as a crew member for the Department of Highways, Yukon Territories.  Her northern experience also includes northern Alberta (Peace River) and northern Saskatchewan (La Ronge) where she worked for the Department of Northern Saskatchewan and built an isolated log cabin. Her diverse experience in corporate, government and educational settings has provided her with a broad understanding of client and corporate needs across many industries in urban, northern, and rural settings.

Patricia is certified to administer and interpret a variety of assessment instruments, including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which she uses to help build strong teams, assist clients in determining their job “fit”, improve performance, develop leadership, and as a recruitment tool.

In 2000, Patricia earned a Master’s of Education degree in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Alberta.  Her thesis topic was The Lived Experience of Vocation, an exploration of secular vocations as experienced by ordinary people.

Patricia is one of those small town Saskatchewan diehards who has returned “home” after two decades in Alberta but she asks that you not hold that against her.

Shannan has over 20 years of experience in the human resource industry, with a past focus on pension and benefits consulting. As an Associate of the Society of Actuaries with a Bachelor's degree in Science (majoring in Statistics) from the University of Saskatchewan, Shannan brings a strong mathematical and statistical background to the team. Her many years of experience working with an international human resource consulting firm provided her with exposure to a diverse range of clients, from small independent Saskatchewan companies to large regulatory bodies, resulting in an extensive background in innovative solutions and strategic thinking. She brings an organized and detail-oriented skill set to the compensation consulting practice and looks forward to delivering compensation services to a new base of clients.

Shannan enjoys acreage life with her family, and divides her time between volunteer community activities and being a chauffeur to her 3 children. If there is any time left over after that, she loves to scrapbook, drawing on both creative and organizational talents!

Armed with a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, experience working with her family’s private business, and a forward thinking nature Coralee is ready to take on anything that is thrown her way.  Coralee has a talent for achieving forward motion. Her fresh perspective and ability to “think outside the box” adds a crisp quality to her contribution in projects.   Determined to develop her career in Human Resources, she has landed in just the right spot, rubbing shoulders with a variety of dynamic seasoned professionals.

Coralee graduated from Dickinson State University where she competed on the Varsity Athletics Rodeo Team for the Blue Hawks.  Coralee is an accomplished cowgirl having competed at various levels of rodeo throughout the United States and Canada.  Her love for animals doesn’t stop at horses she is the proud owner of a 90 pound Staffordshire terrier named “Chauncey”.

Susanne is a career adventurer and it shows. Experienced in the International Oil & Gas Recruitment, Estate and Trust Administration, Casino Management, and Advertising industries across numerous functional areas she is adept at quickly grasping the nuances of any business. Her adventures have led her to the belief that successful human resources strategies are the key to business success. In 2011 Susanne completed her CHRP and combined with her unique and robust business background she is equipped to provide innovative human resources solutions that integrate with business goals.
Susanne is passionate about the arts and can often be spotted at music and theatre events as well as most of Saskatoon’s fantastic summer festivals.

Clare is a junior Analyst at Koenig & Associates.  She recently graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA), with a special focus on photography.

Clare is our "rookie" and the most recent addition at Koenig & Associates.  She brings her tenacious approach to research and knowledge of online survey tools and spreadsheets to the team as well as her attention to detail, impeccable organization skills, and her creative spirit.

Joanne brings to Koenig & Associates 15 years experience in the payroll and human resources field providing customer service to internal and external clients at all levels. She has her Business Administration Certificate, as well as all the required courses for the Canadian Payroll Association designations.

Joanne brings her customer service personality and skills and problem-solving abilities to her dual role as a researcher and key sourcing resource on executive search projects with Waterhouse Executive Search Partners.

In the summer, Joanne can be found on the golf course or at the cottage. In the winter, she enjoys escaping to warmer climates.

Associate

After many years providing stellar value-added outplacement services to clients, Ross is taking it easy to "smell the roses" and spend more time with his family, especially his active grand-children, whom he dotes on.  He is involved on a number of boards and remains a force to be reckoned with in the community. Ross was and is a strong supporter of Koenig & Associates, and he continues to provide us with wise and sage advice.  We miss his daily presence in the office.

Ross began his career and spent 22 years with the Canadian Forces as a fighter pilot and Senior Officer. He also worked in the provincial Crown sector as a senior advisor and marketer, before launching his own company as a business consultant and personal coach. Ross has designed, authored and presented training programs for entrepreneurs starting new ventures, published one of the early papers defining Leadership and Management, and become a certified facilitator, career transition consultant, franchise consultant and trainer. As an Associate, Ross brings to the firm an entrepreneurial attitude and depth of leadership expertise that clients appreciate.

Ross holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Saskatchewan. He also received the Canadian Decoration, an award given to uniformed federal employees for good service, and attended Canadian Forces Staff and Command College, earning the PCSC, the military equivalent to an MBA. Mr. Huckle was known to his staff and fellow officers as Major Huckle. You can call him Ross or "Huck".
